Revalidation

Please note that MCT now provides STCW Continued Competence Refresher courses for holders of Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master, Deck and Engineering Officer and Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) as Chief Integrated Rating who meet AMSA’s Sea Service requirements. We also provide CoP Refresher training for Ratings other than Chief Integrated Ratings who meet AMSA’s sea service requirements.

If you wish to revalidate your CoC as Officer or Master or CoP as Chief Integrated Rating but you do not hold sufficient sea time to satisfy AMSA’s conditions to qualify for Refresher Training then you will need to complete all of the Basic and Advanced Fire Training as well as the entire Personal Survival Techniques Course (PST) and the Proficiency in Survival craft and rescue Boats Other Than Fast Rescue Boats (PSC) course. We do not offer the full Advanced Fire nor do we offer the full PSC course.

For holders of Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) we provide Refresher training for those applicants who meet AMSA’s sea service requirements. For holders of CoST who do not meet AMSA’s sea service requirements we offer a Two Day Revalidation course (including around 20 hours of online learning and two days face to face attendance).

CoST 1 Day Refresher Course

This course is for seafarers who already hold an AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training, meet sea time requirements and have completed AMSA’s Security Awareness Training (SAT) or have satisfied SAT competency requirements. More

CoST 2 Day Revalidation Course

Just $1,700 delivered over 2 straight days + 12 hours Online!

If you hold an existing Certificate of Safety Training but do not met AMSA’s sea service requirements detailed above then you can complete this short course in order to gain revalidation of your existing CoST for 5 more years. More
