Course Dates

All published practical course attendance dates with available places are shown below for each class. Once a class is fully booked, the date will no longer be displayed.
Practical Classes for the Full Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) courses are conducted weekly on Monday and Tuesday, with a second course running on Wednesday and Thursday (except for Public Holidays).
To enrol in a course, you will first need to create an account. Once logged in,  select the course link (shown in blue writing) you wish to undertake from the Login/Enrol page. Available practical attendance class dates will then be shown.
Enrolling Instructions
Please follow these instructions to create an account with us. If you already have an account with us but cannot remember your log in credentials, please enter your email address as the User ID and select ‘Forgot Password’ to set a new password. Once you create an account, the available course dates are displayed when you select the course you require in the bold blue writing.
1. Select the Login/Enrol tab
2. Select Register in the bottom left hand corner in blue bold underlined writing.
3. Enter your details and submit your registration
4. Check your email inbox (including your junk/spam folder) and verify your email address. 
5. Follow the link in the email to create your password.
6. Return to the Login/Enrol page and sign in.
7. Select the course you wish to enrol in. Available practical attendance dates will then be displayed.
8. Choose your preferred date, then scroll down and select NEXT. You will then be prompted to complete payment by Visa or Mastercard (please allow a few minutes for payment processing)
9. Once payment is complete, you will  be redirected to your My Account page,  where your online learning and pre-course requirements will be available to you.

All online learning, Final Assessments, document uploads and enrolment requirements must be completed prior to attending your practical training. 

Certificate of Safety Training (CoST)

Full Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) Course $2,395

This involves approximately 40 hours of self-paced online learning and assessment, plus two days of face to face practical training and assessment at our training facility. Two courses are held every week on a Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Thursday.

1 Day CoST Refresher Course $1,050

Candidates must already hold a Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) issued by AMSA, have completed the Security Awareness Training (SAT) & meet AMSA’s sea service requirements, if you are unsure, please clarify sea service with AMSA prior to enrolling. This course involves approximately 6 hours of online learning which must be completed before attending one day of face to face practical training, starting at 7.30am, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday. Courses are held every week.

2 Day CoST Revalidation Course $1,895

This course is for seafarers seeking to revalidate their Certificate of Safety Training who do NOT meet AMSA’s sea service requirements. It includes  approximately 16 hours of online learning for Fire and PST and must be completed before the 2 days of practical training held on two consecutive days, usually Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Thursday. If you have not already completed Security Awareness Training (SAT), we offer that online for an additional $330. Courses are held every week.

Advanced Refresher Training

CoC Refresher $1,850

For Masters, Deck and Engineer Officers including Chief Integrated Ratings who meet AMSA’s Sea Time requirements

This involves 2 hours of online learning plus two days of face to face practical training.  Courses are held every week on a Thursday and Friday and the cost is $1,850. CoP Refresher $1,550

for Ratings excluding Chief Integrated Ratings who meet AMSA’s Sea Time requirements

This involves approximately 2 hours of online visual learning plus face to face attendance on the first day from 7.30am to 4.30pm, usually on a Thursday and from 8.30am to 10.30am on the second day, usually Friday. Courses are held every week and the cost is $1,550
