In order to obtain from AMSA a Certificate of Safety Training, you must enrol in and complete all of these courses:

  • Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FIRE)
  • Personal Survival Techniques (PST)

  • Security Awareness Training (SAT)

We deliver all the theory and 4 Final Assessments over about 40 hours of online learning and the practical training is delivered over two consecutive days of face to face training. You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a good and reliable internet connection for this. All online learning must be completed by 5pm on the Friday in the week before you attend the face to face training.

Please complete a Provide First Aid course through a third party before attending our face to face training.

Important Notes:

1. After you have completed the enrolment process, to start your online learning select My Account and click on the course to commence online learning. Your progress with the online learning will also be reported there.

Our face to face classroom training & assessment, fire practical and sea survival practical training is delivered on the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland only.

2. A pre-requisite of enrolment for the full CoST is that you hold a current Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment. If you hold an existing Provide First Aid or Apply First Aid or Senior First Aid certificate which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework and was issued less than 3 years before the start date of our CoST course and you have renewed your CPR within the past 12 months then you can apply for Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). If you do not hold a current Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment then you must complete this training at any RTO in Australia who offers a nationally recognised Provide First Aid course.
