Please print these instructions (or download as a PDF to your Desktop) on how to complete your online learning.

Personal Survival Techniques (PST)

Access to the online learning system will be activated immediately you enrol. The face to face, classroom components of the training cannot be attended before the online learning is completed.

If you are unable to complete the online learning for any unforseen reason and it is more than 7 days before the classroom training commences, please email Barry Barnes on bb@stcw95.net to request a postponement of your classroom training to a later date.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any student attending the face to face, classroom elements of the training who has not first completed the online learning will be refused attendance at the classroom training. Neither a transfer to a later course nor a refund will be offered.

 Declaration

Computer Hardware Requirements:

Minimum requirements to access the online learning:

Any laptop or desktop computer running the latest version of the Google Chrome Browser. This Browser is available free as a download on the internet. Other browsers might function with our online learning but we cannot guarantee it.

PLEASE READ & FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO ENSURE YOUR PROGRESS IS PROPERLY REPORTED

Getting started:

  1. Go to our website at www.stcw10.com.au
  2. Click on ‘Online Learning’ (If you are using a mobile device with a small screen you will need to click on the ‘Menu’ button at the top right hand corner of our home page first.
  3. Select ‘PST Online’.
  4. Login using the username and password that you entered to create your account.
  5. After a short delay the system will ask for your personal login. This is simply your full name and your email address. It is important to enter this correctly because this is how we identify your work in the online system. Then hit “Start and report my results”.  Please wait until the system acknowledges your action on the screen. Otherwise your progress might be lost.  If you choose ‘Take a break’, logout and then come back in later, you will need to re-enter the details exactly as before in order to continue.
  6. The next screen lists the modules of the course. Start with Module 1 and work your way through each of the sections, answer the assessment questions. Please make sure that you select ‘Take a break’ (top right hand corner of the screen) if you wish to interrupt your online learning and come back later. Otherwise if there is an interruption to your internet connection you will lose your work.
  7. Remember that there are usually 2 or more sections to each module. When you have finished all the sections for a module, choose ‘Finalise and submit results’. Please allow up to 2 minutes for the system to complete this process before going to another screen or module. Otherwise you will lose your progress to date. The screen will change when the process is complete. Once you have ‘finalised and submitted’ your work you will no longer see the progress completed.
